Ever have the feeling that no matter what you do

love isn't right for the person that you are? 

There is this guy who I have always loved since

the very first day that I meet him I knew that I

wanted to be with him.  He was special in so many

ways: the way his eyes sparked, his hair ruffled,

and the way his lips curved so perfectly.  The

very first time I saw him he was sitting at a

kitchen bar writing his heart out because, you

see, he is a lyricist.  I had my time with him and

I wish I would have cherished it more.  We never

once disagreed on anything; we were so perfectly

matched.  Now, though, we're best friends. 

Sometimes that's enough to make me happy but other

times it hurts me so deep inside and crushes my

heart.  I still, and always will, love him. 

Nothing that I do seems to matter to him, no

matter how much I love him and no matter how many

times I put his heart back together from different

girls, he will never be mine again.  Today has

been really difficult for me because his girlfriend is about

to break up with him and he tells me that he's

in love with her.  He is finally feeling the pain

that he caused me and it tears me apart.  I just

want him to be happy...it's all I've ever really

wanted for him.
